Okay my first ever cell phone service was Cingular, and then I went to Verizon, and this year I went to T-Mobile so that I could actually get cool phones and minutes, and I like GSM's call quality, I can definately tell the difference. But, I start looking at Cingulars website one day, and what do my wondering eyes should appear...? The Cingular 8525 with 3G, my GOD my eyes are even watering with tears of joy. I am willing to pay the ETF this week, and spend the money to get this phone if I hear a little more about it. I am already won over by the touch screen and sliding QWERTY Key board, not to mention QUAD BAND GSM with WCDMA 850, 1900, and 2100.

What else should I know about this phone to convince me to get it or not get it. Size...

It's backordered right now because everyone wants it. Don't get your hopes up too much until you're in a store with your hands on one. It's been taking me an average of two and a half weeks per order to get them in stock, and they're sold within a day.

So are they backordered online, because I know where they have them in the stores around where I live. I am not concerned with availability, more concerned with the general applications of the phone. Is it worth waiting for?

Yep, they're pretty dang-o good.

The stores in my area can't keep them in stock either. I get calls from people every day looking for one, and the ones I sold mine to said they had tried at least 8 different stores to find one.

I've seen people activating new lines they'll never used just to get the phone for less, and one of my customers just bought the phone outright. With accessories and tax they dropped over $750.

Awesome, that is what I like to hear about a product. I know two stores in my area, where people would be too stupid to even put 8525 in the correct numerical sequence let a lone know how to use it, lol, so availability in my area is not an issue and it is confirmed that they have them...and I also would really like to go back to Cingular, that was my first cell phone service as a teen. Plus I hear some rumblings of good things to come for Cingular, starting with 3G of course but bigger things.
