I have the 700 which is CDMA, and it was an improvement over the 650, I have carried the 650 CDMA and GSM and the 680. The 650 has its issues, but the 680 seemed to have to be reset more even without installing additional software (btw there are a lot of apps not forward compatible from the 650 to 680), the great RF I got on the 650 (GSM) was not carried over to the 680, dropping way too many calls and not holding calls properly in what should not be a Cingular fringe area. Even if it is free, get the E62 and pay the difference.
