Should I just Rollover & Renew?

My Cingular contract just ended, so I could look for a different carrier. I'm tired of my SE t616 and I'd like to try a flip-phone. Carrier is obviously wide-open, but Cingular has been OK. As to finding the right replacement phone:

I'm hooked on the Bluetooth headset
Don't particularly like the inch-thick Motos
Don't quite know if the RAZR wd work for me
Hated the Siemens interface
Really like the Samsung p107, but BT not offered

The reason I like Sammy is that it's easy for one handed thumb-dialing, seems very easy to hold, and it's a little thinner than the gonzo Motos. A GSM Samsung Bluetooth phone seems like my E-ticket .... if only.

BTW, during the past year I somehow built up 2400 rollover minutes! I just reduced my prog...

my brother in law (also a Cingular employee) is currently using a RAZR and it is AWESOME! reception is great, the features are great, and he said it is probobly one of the best phones he has ever used. he tests almost every phone that comes down the chain whether we decide to carry it or not.

other than that, as far as bluetooth flip phones go, i dont know what else to reccomend. Moto is re-tooling the v600 as a v620, but you don't like big flip phones.

the T637 is nice, the new nokias are going to be nice as well.

I seems that the only available Cingular phones for me would be the SE-t637 or N6230. I've had predecessors to both, so they don't offer enough "newness" but I guess I'll take a look at the Sony.

Two complaints about my SE-t616 are sunlight viewing (a giant annoyance, but occasional) and just one thing about its interface ... wake-from-sleep-mode loses the first button, every time! .... grrrr!

Maybe I need to get past the thickness & look closer at the Moto lineup, since they have so many features. RAZR seems to suffer on battery life, but guess I'll look at the v220 and 620.

If I jump ship, there are very few phones that I'd be interested in. The Nokia flip is bigger than the Moto's. If I was to accept something bigger, the SE-p9...

Wait for the Nokia 6230. It has the BT that you want. Release should be anyday now. This is going to be Cingular's new flagship phone.

Rollover is awesome...2400 minutes, I wouldn't switch to another carrier. Remember if you switch to another plan with rollover, you keep them. So the GSM Nation plan might be right for you.

The V551 and V620 ore in the distant future. The V551 is slated for Christmas. The 620 maybe out the begginning of next year.

Oops - my thank-u message ended up in wrong slot, but applied to your advice too. And I just noticed that I wrote v220, but you suggested v551 ... gotta go look closer at those.
