PDA's are expensive as well, its a fairly ingenious idea with EVDO and UMTS networks rolling out, game downloads and network play. better than the cheap java games.

True true, you can have them buy games in the store, which would incease store traffic, increase accessory sales, and game play would be nice on high speed.

nope. not if they included the simple workings of the j300 or the z300... push the cost up to about what the 8525 is going for and could be sold unlocked... but i think that there is an agreement with sony ericsson that sony alone can't offer phones within their own devices.

That would be cool wouldn't it 🙂

The problems I see are:

1. cost
2. support by game companies
3. size of the device

If these can be overcome, then it would be left up to the consumer to accept it.

Companies are willing to accept a lose on systems (ps3, xbox) but would they be willing to accept a lose on a device that focuses on games as well as being a phone? Most wouldn't because there is no gaurantee that someone would buy the games.. they may just like how it looks and no use it for gaming juse like some smartphones are now being used.

I suppose the ROKR was a failure as a game phone because it was intended to be an iPod phone. Crazy Motorola execs, what were they thinking.
