Upcoming net adds numbers for Q4
I think this last quarter of 2006 will be the first quarter Cingular will lead the industry in sub and net adds! What do you guys think?
Why do I say this? well, our 3G devices are selling like hot cakes and bringing lots of new customers 🙄

I think they will win sub ads but not net ads. I think VZ will get about 2.1 net ads, Cingy about 1.7 to 1.8, TMo 1.1 to 1.2, and Sprint 900K.

Come on, its the holidays. Plus I am pushing for them to crawl out of their slump. Man I hope you are not correct b/c if they cannot post some decent adds during the holidays then they are in for some hard times.

Why? What makes you think there's gonna be such gap between cingular and vz in net adds? Last year's gap was of only thousands. And last year there were no 3G phones or network. This quarter results will be very interesting.

Why? Perception! Consumer Reports, JD Power, things of that nature will play a role. Although I think their results are "insanely flawed", if you beat something into someones head enough, they will start to believe it. VZW 2.1, Cingy 1.7-1.8, Sprint 900K, TMO 1.1-1.2. I think these numbers are pretty reasonable/realistic.

I think Cingy will at least break 2 Mil. Someone said it before.. 3G phones are running out the door, music phones are extremely popular (fire red razr, d807).

Nah, I think Beach is right. Besides, they've always said things like that about Cingular in the past. Did that affect our results? I also think Q4 numbers are going to be head to head.
We just have to wait and see...
