CINGULAR 8525

I have recently purchased a Cingular 8525, and let me say this first, the reception is spectacular, seriously, I have service where Verizon and T-Mobile did not dare...But alas I do have a problem.

I have a Moto H300 BT Headset, and I have been able to pair it once with my phone but when I got a call, it would pick it up. I erased it off my phone and went to start over but it couldn't find the headset.

Obviously it knows something that I do not and I was wondering what that could possibly be?

Are you putting the headset into discoverable mode?

It had been picked up once by my phone but would not work while connected when I received a phone call.

That could be anything at this point... Do you have any friends to try pairing their headset to your phone with?

The most common problem I see with customers and Bluetooth is them not putting the earpiece into discoverable mode, so the phone never actually "sees" the earpiece. If this has been done and it still wont find it then the problem could either be the headset or the phone. If you can pair with a different device and not yours then it's probably the headset.

If neither connect then that narrows it down more. You'll want to sync up your device with your PC because you'll need to do a reset. Try a soft reset first. If that doesn't work you can try a hard reset (which erases everything). That's why you need to sync it up t...

It was strange I hooked up my phone to my PC and it did the Auto Sync and while it was doing it, i looked up BT on the disc that comes with it then tried pairing the devices and it worked. I know how to make the device discoverable lol, I have used this earpiece with 3 other phones so yeah i know what to look for lol.

It was just weird that i did that right when I used the disc.

yeah, I wasn't trying to say YOU didn't know how to do it, but a lot of people don't. It's apparently easier for me to think for my customers.

One more thing, check where you bought your ear piece from. I just had a guy come in with a Motorola BT and it just felt odd. He took the charger out of the box to charge it and it was definitely NOT a Motorola brand name charger even though it was branded all over.

He'd bought a counterfeit ear piece and it was giving him all sorts of grief by not staying connected. Check Motorola's website, they have a guide up on how to spot a counterfeit. Make sure you have the real deal.

It would have been nice if someone would have answered my question but instead people decided to rehash old threads and then bash the person for doing that in the old thread.
