Upgrade question

I currently have the $69.99 5 line family plan. One of my lines is currently out of contract, but the remaining 4 still have a full year left. Can I upgrade that 1 line for another 2 years and still have the other 4 stay the same?

I went into this store, and the guy said that if I upgrade that one line, then they will upgrade that line to a $39.99(instead of a 9.99 add a line) effectively making my bill $30 more expensive.

All I want to do is upgrade that line and get a discounted phone while maintaining the same bill. Any thoughts?

It sounds like that dude was just trying to pull in more commision. You can upgrade an add line with a two year contract and not affect the other lines at all. You should be able to get the same discounted price as with any other plan. If they attempt any thing else then look else where. But your Iphone isn't coming out till June. 🙂

Yah, I think I am going to get the w810i for now. I have heard from ppl here thats its pretty much the best phone for cingular rite now.

Question: On the website, I see that the price is 74.99. Why are the stores selling it for 99.99? Would they do a price match on it? And can I still upgrade to the 1GB Memory Stick for free?

Thanks for the quick response.

Online is regularly less. If you were adding a media package i would price match i don't know about where you are at however. The 1G card offer is going through Jan 20th. You pay $60 at time of purchase and mail in for full rebate.

ok, so i bought the w810i today. the sales rep even price matched the online price. great guy 😉

i opened the headphones, and i noticed that the right earbud wire is considerably longer than the left earbud and i cant seem to adjust it. is it supposed to be like this?

other than that, this phone seems to be pretty amazing so far. the buzzing that i used to get on my razr appears to be gone. ill knock on wood though.

Yep they do it this way so that the mic is still positioned by your mouth.

if you hate the earbuds you can also just use any headset. The microphone is built into the part that the headset plugs into.
