I think people misunderstood part one. I like my job it is very funny. The truth is push to talk is in place and ready. But cingular is very gun shy about launching push to talk. The want to make sure the platform is perfect. The do not want to launch a product that does not work and damages the companies reputation. Cingular invented rollover mintues but launched it before testing it properly and the results were not very good. There were a lot of rollover mintues not being applied and customer care working overtime to smooth things over.
Push to talk will be available in January 2005. And it will be as good as nextel and it will be worldwide.

the big one is going to be the motorola v400p. That is going to have all the features of the current v400 but with ptt. That is one I can confirm because the platform has is still kinda up in the air. Once the platform is decided upon expect siemens and nokia. Nokia will add push to talk to the nokia 7610. Siemens will do push to talk with a entry-level handset. I heard the new C61 is a good example of what they will be doing appearance wise.

when you say worldwide does that mean it will be able to ptt other gsm carriers worldwide or that if overseas i would still be able to ptt back to the states or if neither what does this mean
