switching voice plans & contract renewal

while already in contract, can you switch to a different minute plan each month without renewing your contract?

Yes, but why would you??? It just screws up the billing. Remember, Cingular bills in advance.

It only screws up the bill if you request to have it changed mid cycle. By default, plans will change on the bill cycle date no matter what day you physically request the change.

Even if you request it to be changed mid cycle, you can be given a very accurate estimate of what your bill will be. I use a calculator and a little division and multiplication, and it works wonderfully.

some months you may predict more minute usage than other months, so it would be convenient to switch plans when you need to

This is what the policy was/might still be. You can change your plan as many times as you want during the first half of your said contract without extending it. During the second half you are supposed to extend it.
