Game download questions
Being new to a multimedia phone, I purchased a game yesterday, but it never came to my phone. I usually get a tone and vibrate (set so I'll know), and didn't see any icons that I had any pending messages.
Couldn't call Cingular because it was after their closing time.
My computer did crash right after the download, but it has been billed to my account.
Also, one rep at Cingular told me that I could save downloaded games/ringtones to my SIM card, but the site states otherwise; and I don't see that option anywhere in my phone.

I just remember I saw a page come up with something about Tomcat and Java, I think, right before my computer crashed. It was an error message screen with HTML all over it.😕

if you didnt get the game, go to www.cingular.com/db to dispute the charge

The 2nd time worked!
I'm still trying to figure out what is airtime and what isn't, so are Java apps (the downloaded game) considered airtime while playing? 🙂
...
if you have a GSM phone, then there is no airtime when connected to the internet, it is billed in kpbs transferred, however, if you're just playing a game as the only player, the phone shouldn't attempt to connect to the internet.

OK, thanks. Java comes up, but I guess that is just telling me it's that type of app. 🙂
With KB's transferred, that would be only if you 'downloaded' something, or 'sent' something somewhere?
And I guess I am also billed for KB's received? But same, not for airtime?
This is still so new to me, I'm trying to get it all straight. 😉
