phonepimp, need some help with towers and coverage
would you be able to check towers and coverage for zip code 67444 which is Fredrick and Geneseo Kansas, 67401 which I believe is Salina Kansas, and the areas surounding there like on highway 4. I know there is coverage around Witchita and I can get a number from there, just wondering where I can use it in the state where I work and live. thanks for your help

Not a market we're in with Native coverage. What will be there from the ATTWS deal I can't say, but Cingular does not currently fit you best...lol
...
hmmm, both cingular and att maps show full coverage in the salina area, and even in the outlaying area, are the maps on their websites just totally wrong?
...
Probably ATTWS coverage. The map tool I use shows only Cingular owned coverage, while the coverage maps show ALL coverage, including preferred roaming partners you can access at no charge.
...
so you can't get a local number in that area but the coverage map still shows where the phone can be used? I know T-mobile has coverage in Salina, I wonder if it is roaming with them

With AT&T wireless you can use your phone in those area's but AWS will not give you service if you live in those area's or use over %50 of your usage in those areas.

Salina's coverage SUCKS!!!!!!!! Avoid Cingular if your going to be in Salina. I checked the coverage chart to make sure it was covered and this is what I get for checking things out before signing up. Horrible signal. Constant disconnections, 1 bar signal, if I move my head a centimeter I can't hear what they are saying on the phone. I am turning my phone on and off constantly to get the one tower that has any signal and I hope it is another company's tower so Cingular gets charged out the butt for my phone usage.
...
Well I am in that area if not Cingular than who?
