AT&T’s 4Q Results Lifted by Cingular’s Solid Performance
In 2006, AT&T earned $7.3 billion (up 53%) with revenues of $63 billion (up 44%). The earnings were lifted by the projected cost savings of the 2005 merger with SBC, which totaled some $1.1 billion – $300 million better than it anticipated.
With its recent merger with BellSouth, AT&T believes it can further improve its cost structure in 2007, especially by rejoining Cingular Wireless with AT&T. Cingular's earnings bounced up in the fourth quarter of 2006, and AT&T chairman and CEO Edward E. Whitacre Jr. noted that wireless amounts to 34% of the merged company's business.

So if profit is $1.9 billion and revenue is $15.9 billion would that make the average profit of each customer about 11.9% of their total package? In other words profit on a $39.99 plan without features would be $4.75 a month.
