selling is getting harder each and every year it seems so that we make money

This is the way Cingular and for that matter all companies have been. Seems like twice a year you see one change that works for the negative and another one that has some positives with pay but equates to harder to attain goals. Its always a double edged sword in this business. Its too bad that it operates under that guise because there is plenty of money to be made.

Not to be the bearer of bad news, mark my words. The commissions will be going away. Market penetration is over 70% meaning carriers have to rely on WLNP and people being able to afford paying (that's if they even do) their ETFs to get them to churn to a different carrier. Wireless thanks to the penetration has become a somewhat of a commodity item that can be picked up everywhere from RS, Wal-mart, BestBuy, etc, etc... The first to go will be the Joe Bob Cellular stores, you can see that happening now with carriers not honoring or recognizing an indirect in the same neighborhood as a corp store or carriers going out of their way to open a new corp store in an area that's set to grow...
Think about it like this, even with these metri...

the problem with eliminating indirects is that you are eliminating the people that actually care about what they are doing. my stores have a much better reputation than the cor stores in this area. maybe that is why our numbers are much better than the cor stores also??
to answer the original question my employees average $3752.26 commission per month (based of my spreadsheet which i took the average of july, aug, sept, oct, nov, dec 2006. that is added to the average $12.33 per hour i pay them. all of my employees appear happy with the pay structure.

The same can be said when they lay-off teachers or close schools & hospitals...
I can sympathize, however, the problem still remains that Cingy, VZW, and others would rather have better or more control of the money they pay out for new subscriber acquisition. It would cost them less to open a new corp store, pay a lousy salary to each employee, let 800-cust svc do the lip service as to why they are so glib at that particular location than to continue paying out...

They won't be getting rid of indirects completely, but they want all indirects to be premiers. In my market the indirects sell 65% of the activations compared to the COR stores.
