Insurance availability on new phones (like the KRZR)

I understand Cingular is not offering insurance on the KRZR. Would it be typical for them to eventually start offering insurance on this phone...after it has been out a while?

Nobody knows if it's standard to begin offering insurance later on phones that don't initially have that as an option?

It's actually an Asurion Issue not Cingular, but these phones are so expensive and with the amount of fraud they refuse to insure it now.

Most phones do get on the insure list after their release. Generally this is because they send you a refurbished phone and as of right now, they have none. They say you must insure your phone within 30 days but if they add your phone after your 30 days we can usually get it done. That's what I had to do with my LG CU500.
