nope. cingular does as well. not to the extent of NOT offering something, but take newer model phones with java. running a third party app and that app not having 'cingular' approved certs will require you to grant access at each refresh, so you cannot have an 'always allow' feature like you used to could.

i've tried it on the e-62, 8525, cu400/500, sync and blackjack. all the same thing. but how did you get it working. because they did change the way the unsigned certificates are handled.
