Class Action Law Suit ...... Cingy?

Ok... so here is the deal... and I could be wrong so someone correct me where need be.

I remember the commercial from Cingular that says "Why loose minutes you pay for. With Cingular you keep you unsed minutes". Well I called in to take my 2100 min plan (with 5600 rollover mins) to a 700 min plan. Well the rep informed me that if I did so, I would only be allowed to keep 700 rollover mins. Does that not go against their commercial?....Flase Advertising?

Secondly.... So in order to use IM I have to have a data plan for it to connect. Well then why do they charge a SMS fee per IM sent. They are forcing you to have a data plan (one of the most expensive compared to other carriers), then double billing you as a SMS msg. I see this as compl...

Need an employee helpline number please!

I am an ex AT&T/Cingular wireless employee in Minnesota, and I need to get a copy of my W-2's from 2006. Could someone please give me a employee helpline number so I may request this. I have attempted calling customer service and they state they can not help me.

I appreciate the help,

Maybe switching to AT&T; need phone advice

Just finished my contract with Verizon and am thinking of switching to AT&T. First-time user of this site, though people on here seem really knowledgeable. 🙂 Anyone care to give some advice?

I'm a relatively light cell phone user. I plan to use the phone for making calls while commuting, for texts now and then, and to (hopefully) automatically sync with a MS Outlook calendar. A summary of needs, etc:

Needs (in order of importance)
-Excellent reception/call quality (yes, i know this also depends on the network)
-Bluetooth (both headset and sync w/comp)
-Good battery life
-Alarm (preferably, the ability to set many)
-Solid battery life
-Small enough to fit in pocket
-Decent ergonomics
-Easy/quick texting (should be easy......

Employment With AT&T

Hey guys, just wondering what working for AT&T is like. Do you guys get free phones? I know the service is free after 90 days. If so how do you choose or is one given to you? Is working for them fun? Is it a good job for a college student? Thanks for the response!

No contract to upgrade?

Recent news states that existing customers can upgrade without renewing or extending a contract. As a TDMA customer (holding out for Q4 07 phones and the best deal), I get text messages from AT$T about upgrading to GSM. Does this mean that I can now upgrade without entering a new contract?
Thanks,

upgrade help

Customer tried to upgrade on-line. Ordered phone, etc. Order canceled because the system would not accept CC. Go on-line and shows the order was canceled. Came into store to upgrade, can not upgrade because POS2 shows upgrade was completed and contract was extended. Customer care was unable to cancel upgrade. Who do I contact for the customer to get this straightened out. Thanks

Apple tracks iPhone usage and tracks IEMI numbers of all their iPhones worldwide

Apple tracks iPhone usage and tracks IEMI numbers of all their iPhones worldwide
November 18, 2007 by Dan at 10:05 pm.

As I sit here applying a new layer of Reynolds tin foil to my international hat of conspiracy, its been proven that Apple tracks iPhone usage and tracks IEMI numbers of all their iPhones worldwide.

Hidden in the code of the “Stocks” and “Weather” widgets is a string that sends the IMEI of your phone to a specialized URL that Apple collects.

When the widgets perform a query an IMEI is handed off to Apple’s servers:

dgw?imei=%@&apptype=finance

This let[s] Apple knows which app you are using when connecting with your iPhone. Obviously, they know the IP address you ...

fed up with cingular's confusing & manipulative bs

i've been researching their plans for a while now in here and on their site and besides the insulting fact they expect $40 for an internet package that other carriers charge $20 for they couldn't've made it more confusing with their media net, smartphone connect and pda connect packages. what is the difference between all of these besides price especially between smartphone connect and media net? as you can see even a large number of cingular reps in here and outside of here are confused about these plans and their compatible phones. What ever happened to the simple purchasing of internet? i can't wait til metro gets some pda phones and evdo.

Roaming with AT&T

Can someone explain to me how or if roaming fees apply for AT&T? Im currently a verizon customer and plan to move to AT&T soon. With Verizon I never get any kind of roaming "charges" no matter where I go (atleast within the US) - I dont even know if I was "roaming"

Can the same be said about AT&T? Are there any hidden fees for roaming usage (phone or data related) that I might be surprised with when the bill comes? If so, does your phone indicate that you are roaming?

feedback would be appreciated.

thanks

I don't know what to do....

I am really upset.... Got scewed over on my bill because of my best friend loosing her job, and not being able to pay her bill, and going WAY over. So, now my bill is probably about 1500.00 because I havent been able to pay it.......

I want my at&t back, I was forced to swich to spint because of this, its going to take me some time to pay this off..........Sprint is evil!

Is there anyway other way than pre-paid or signing up under someone else, to get the service back, while paying the other account....

I'm not trying to cheat At&t out of their money, its my fault, I owe it to them, and I want to pay.... So, any suggestions would be really helpful. 😢 😢 😢
