Dumbest Customer EVER

I just had a cust who I talked to for over half an hour who couldnt understand why we kept sending her bills for two months worth of service when she was paying two months behind, some peoples children I tell you! đŸ˜ŗ 😲 đŸ˜ŗ

Question about using Aol Instant Messenger...

I just bought a z500. and i had a question about using the aol instant messenger... If i decide to use it, am i being charged kilobyte usage or is it taken out of my text messaging count?

I went to Cingular and in seven days have found that they have no customer service. They are all about getting the contract and that's it.

I attempted to find out why my bill has an adding error in their favor by using their web site. FAQs did not help, I tried to e-mail them. The web site has a circular menu system that never took me to a place to e-mail. It always took me to a log-in despite I was logged in (maybe 5 times-how dumb can I get).

I finally contacted a human (not on a menu - press zero to talk to someone). The human was less use than a rock. Not empowered to look into anything, not knowledgeable (blamed everything on IT or "the system must be being updated") and did not care. She refused to enter the co...

New Phones...

I was looking at another website getting the specs for the Moto V1150 and it said it was UMTS/GSM 900/1800/1900. Now I do understand Cingular has the 850 band and this phone doesn't, BUT, since it has UMTS will it run off of Cingular's UMTS network when it is in place? If any phone is UMTS, and unlocked, will it work on the upcoming UMTS network here? Thanks.

P.S. If it is as good in reality as is on paper, that will be quite a phone.

Pissed off CSR's

đŸ‘ŋ Is Illinois the only call center where the past three months have been closed for control time? Do you have a gaggle of vacation days, floating holidays, designated holidays, ewp's etc but can't use them because FMC or whatever these demons are called in your particular region close the rest of the month after the 1st? There are a lot of pissed off reps in my call center that are accruing occurrences because of this. How about you or are we the only suckers? đŸ‘ŋ đŸ‘ŋ

Question About Rate Plan

I have FT9NATP1100RUMMUNW

The rep at the store said i will not incur roaming fees since it is a national plan. Does this mean I can roam on another US carrier without incurring fees?

I love it!!!

Had last 2 customers ask, 'How can I lower my bill?' Since they had GAIT phones, we're able to move them to a GSM Nation plan; saved one guy almost $100 a month, and getting 200 more minutes!

Outsourcing

Man does outsourcing blow. I hate calling into customer care and getting someone in India who speaks crappy english. It gets on my nerves so much that I often hang up & call back until i get an Amercian.

AT&T TDMA Tower Conversions

In Vidalia Ga there are like 7 or 8 TDMA AT&T towers were as cingular has like 3 GSM does anyone know when those towers will be converted from TDMA to GSM because its hard to convince a AT&T customer to migrate if they will lose 70% of the coverage they have if they do figured I would ask amny help would be appreciated in this

NEED HELP cant send text

I have a v551 an a few mins ago all of a sudden i cant send regular text messages. i thought maybe the person i was tryin to text is the problem but thats not it. I tried to text 3 other ppl an still cant deliver the message. Its weird because i have a great signal an everything an i know all my settings are correct becaz i was texting the other day can someone help me please?

Cingular or Verizon - Central NJ

I really think that the phones offered by Cingular are much better than Verizon... I want to switch but my wife is afraid of poor service... any feedback from some one who switched or some one in central NJ that has Cingular would be helpful 😁

RE CINGULAR JUST PLAIN SUCKS

Well if the dealers and reps in the stores were doing their JOBS, customers would have an idea of what there first bill should look like! With Cingular new activations they are billed in advance, so they pay the prorated first month plus next months bill.
To the dealer--stop being lazy and do your job right the first time--I'm tired of getting those calls about the first months bill. Also, stop telling customers that Roadside has to come with there plans, b/c it doesnt--you just want that commision--I report all dealer/agents that do that.

That was my rant! Today was a very long day obviously. 🙂

Minutes Use

I don't know if there is anything I can do at this point but I have gone over minutes by about 200 which will cost about $70.00. I check my minutes used all week on the website and even Friday it said I had well over a hundred left this month, now I am 200 over! Why does Cingular even have this on the website, it only seems to be accurate when you go over your allotted minutes. Is there anything I can do?

customer service survey

I have found working for cingular customers think good customer service is giving them what they want. Or telling them what they want to hear. Customers want one call resoloution that results in them getting their way. That is the reason I do not think much of customer service surveys. Does anyone else think these surveys are flawed?

How is this for a catch 22?

I work in a Company Owned Retail store. Yesterday I was setting up a customer with Two Rzr's, I have a number in the store, but the two that I picked asked for a subsidy unlocked code. Now this seems odd to me that a cingular phone with a cingular chip is asking for an unlock code so I call tech support to get them unlocked. The first person I talk to tells me that all phones for the east coast are completely locked (Is this true?). After a bit of coaxing I get a knowledgable rep that proceeds to tell me that in order to unlock the phone we have to sell at which point I tell himhey we can't sell it unless it's unlocked. Has anyone else had this issue come up in your stores?

Handspring Treo

So do I understand it correctly that anything but billing with the Treo goes to Handspring?

It seems like we don't support anything to do with this equipment.
