How do rollover mins actually work?

Well I thought i knew how rollover mins worked but after reading some of the post it appears I don't. Don't rollover mins roll for 12 months mean that if 300 mins "rolled" in JAN 05 then in Jan 05 they would drop being replaced by what ever you have left to "roll" in Jan 06? the way I tought of it was once in service with cingular for one year then you'd always have one year worth of roll over saved? am I way off base?

Increasing quality of coverage within my home

I just switched from Verizon to Cingular (my company made that decision for me). I got the Blackberry 7100G and find it a great phone. Only problem, I get mediocar coverage inside my house. I do get coverage, but it varies from room to room. I travel about 15 days a month on business and find that the coverage offered by Cingular is about the same as Verizon (at least in the places that I travel to). Now here is my question....Is there any external antenna that really would work inside my house. It would have to be passive as there is no external connection for my phone. I have seen passive repeaters on the web, but do they really work????

bonus minutes

I work in sales for Convergys/Cingular. There are bonus minutes in telepos and teleposII. Can I just give people bonus minutes? Will they catch me?

ToS?

Jackie or any store rep. Is there a quick way to have this done? I had a customer who had the paper work submitted twice since december the account was noted by ToS that the transfer was complete but it was still in his son in laws name. He called in furious I got him calmed down and did some digging but still found no way around faxing the flipping dept.

Any ideas?!?

Migrating From Suncom To Cingular

I live in Lynchburg, VA (24501) and this Saturday is the day that Suncom customers are gonna be able to switch to Cingular with no fees, blah blah blah...Anyway, I have been calling Cingular trying to get more info on this because I need to have a national plan (Suncom is regional for those that dont know) by Saturday afternoon because I will be gong out of town so its perfect timing. I was told that Cingular would be offering 13 free phones to people who are migrating to Cingular from SunCom but thats all I could find out. What I want to know is if anyone has anymore details on this like which phones they are and if there will be any other promotions and/or incentives. Any info whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.

If I get one more Store Rep Who Adds Roadside Assistance without the customer knowing or wanting it I'm gonna call the BBB myself and I work for Cingular. I'm so sick of of Customers calling up and saying whats this roadside assitance. 👿

Cingular+Rebates= Why Waste My TIme

When ATTWS was around, they had INSTANT REBATES ... Just like Sprint, T-Mobile & Verizon.

Cingular offers "Mail-In Rebate Debit Cards" I RARELY see "Instant Rebates" for Cingular.

What is the point in this? Why do they not offer instant savings like most carriers?

I would appreciate some USEFUL insight into this...

this is like the teacher's lounge, and woland is the student who just walked in to see their idealistic views go out the window. This is not an idealistic world... we have to deal with customers on a daily basis, and some of which just don't catch on, which is frusterating. (holy runon sentence batman!)

A lot of this is the fault of other CSR's who don't adequately go through everything with the customer in the first place, thus leaving us to have to fix sometimes hellacious problems, all because the other dealer was either a) out to get a buck (adding 4.99 detailed billing instead of the free one, or 1.99 basic vm rather than the free one). or b) accidentally clicked the wrong SOC code.

Us reps have to deal with a lot of bs comming f...

cant download any internet content

I have a v551 and recently i cant download any internet content which is mostly mp3 ring tones an 3pg movies. Even if i go to the media mall an try to download cingular exclusive stuff i get a error message saying the stuff is incompatiable for my phone which is bogus because i use to be able to download almost anything. Is this a real problem or im i just paranoid? 😢

I think you guys should chill with the customer bashing. This will eventually avert them from coming here and becoming cingular customers. I know I wouldnt want to be a customer after coming here...

s710a and EDGE Questions...

Quick couple of questions...
I just bought a SE s710a off of eBay and when I receive it can I just pop in my SIM card and I'm good to go or do i have to call Cingular let them know before it can work?

Also, is EDGE available wherever there's Cingular coverage? I looked for a map on cingular.com but I must have been overlooking it. Can any of you reps let me know if EDGE is available in zip 24501 if its not wherever Cingular coverage is?
