MPX 220

Does anyone know what's wrong with the Moto MPX 220? I have received emails saying that we dont/can't order that phone due to "quality issue" What is that quality issue?

I really wish they would fix the way calls are routed.

I'm in telesales, a former blue rep and we freequently get calls from customers who want to upgrade thier phones, which we cant do, so I have to transfer them to an orange rep while still taking the hit on my conversion. Then I quite freequently get calls from care reps with questions about a problem they are having with migrating a customer or replacing an order for a phone that wasnt received. I'm not help desk and on the blue side if the customer doesnt get their phone, the order gets cancelled and replaced. I cant just send out a phone with out a contract (new service) attached to it. Another thing I wish they would fix is the number for suncom customers to call. The number gives you a message that the line has been shut down due to the ...

Can a cingular rep answer this pricing question?

My contract is coming up for renewal and I want to upgrade to the RAZR. The upgrade price is $439, but new customers get it for $369, after a mail in rebate. Third party stores here in NYC have deals going for $179. Will Cingular match any of this? If not, why not just let my contract lapse and sign up for new service? Or will this result in me being treated like a returning customer anyway?

SBC/Cingular Post

I see this is truly an open & honest forum...I posted a question yesterday regarding lack of phone selection through SBC and wondering how I could get the Cingular phone that I want and still get the combined billing through SBC. I got a few responses that I had achance to see, but when I looked for additional responses this AM, the whole thread is gone...who did I piss off?

Unlocked Phone Question

Quick questions...
I'm new to GSM so please forgive my ignorance. I was thinking about getting an unlocked phone and pop my sim card in it but if it doesnt have the 850mhz band then it could have a problem with roaming issues. Is this correct? Would I have to call Cingular and tell them? Will I be able to text message and use AOL IM (if loaded)?

Also, If I do get an unlocked unbranded phone, how does the Cingular software get on it. In other words like the MEdia Net software and all that and AOL IM. Do I have to take in to a store or is it an OTA type thing? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I just heard that motorola is working on a A635 model which is an upgrade of theA630. Has anyone else heard something similar?

I need some help, please!

My girlfriend has a Samsung x472m, whenever she tries to purchase something through Media Net, it doesn't allow her too, stating that she needs to contact customer service. What could be the problem and how could it be fixed? Thanks in advance! 😁

Question for Legacy Orange Reps

I am a new orange/former blue rep. The whole advancement thing within Cingular is a bit unclear to me. What are the advancement opportunities like within a call center enviorment? Are there pay raises involved? Or does moving to new positions like tier 2 constitute a lateral move without a pay raise? We have been kept in the dark about a lot of this. any reps out there willing to give any help with this matter?

Customer is trying to dial "1" to access voicemail and it is saying "insert international prefix first"

Frustrated

I love the product I sell. I really do. I think it is the best of its kind. I just get so frustrated b/c of the little things about the company that are so screwed up internally (like this whole feature attachment thing that we've all been talking about - see my previous post on it).

SBC/Cingular Questions...

Why can't I sign up for Cingular wireless through SBC and get the SE z500a? 😕 Can I sign up through Cingular and somehow transfer the account to SBC so that I can get the discounts associated and also pay both on one bill? 😕 Is the z500a a good phone? 😕 Thank you in advance for your help!!! 😁

Question for CORPORATE STORE REPS.....

This question is only directed to Retail Reps at Corporate-owned stores (Jackie, I'm looking in your direction!), not call-center of third-party dealers.


What is the dress-code policy regarding guys with pierced ears?

I'm currently unpierced (letting my old ones heal up) but I've been heavily considering getting pierced with 6-g tunnels or plugs (just one in each lobe).

I'm also considering subimtting my resume to several local Cingular stores and looking for a position there.

How well does the dress-code policy (if any) mesh with my desire for new metal?

Employee discount on phones, Legacy att reps vs. cingular reps!!!!

I've been hearing a few reps talk about waiting to get their new phones in and was wondering if cingular reps get 30% off full retail? thats the RUMOR i heard 🙂 As it stands now legacy AT&T reps don't get jack. pun intended.

p.s. If any legacy blue reps out there know how to get the employee discount on cingular phones, please let me know.

Question for Cingular employees

I work for a Cingular/formerly AT&T store and I am stumped! A customer came in to our store two days ago and purchased a Cingular Go phone, the activation was done in store, and as they require, it was set up on Direct Billing to a credit card. At no point has the phone worked, so the customer is in store and I've been working with care to get this resolved, with no luck. They posted a manual Quick payment to the card, still doesn't work, I've replaced the phone, and the SIM, to no avail. Anyone have any resolutions or suggestions?? Any help is greatly appreciated.
