ETF's

I work for a dealer and we have recently instituted a new policy regarding ETF's. The one advantage we had over a company such as amazon or let's talk has just been wiped away by our company. As of last month we now charge our customers an extra 200 per line if they cancel within 6 months of activation. I can understand where our company sees this as beneficial but I also feel that they are being bullheaded about this because there are numerous customers who complain about this and we've even had people walk on deals just because of this. They say, "Well, the AT&T store down the street isn't going to make us sign this ridiculous paper so we're going to take our business there." Then by the time I try to call my manager it is too late an...

What a mark up!

๐Ÿ˜ฒ Got to love it.
The new Moto V9x is finely out. A guy on E-bay is selling one for $400.
But it's only $300 off Motorola's web site. ๐Ÿ˜ณ
Guess those listing fees on E-bay are pretty high.

Indirect to COR

So I just got hired yesterday by AT&T to work at a COR store. I'll be making the jump from being an indirect sales manager to being a corporate sales associate (yep, more money). Wish me luck, everybody! ๐Ÿ™‚

iPhone Questions & Help

Is there a site that covers best news, games, updates for iPhone?

A few major questions I have about the phone are:

1) How can Apple create a Multimedia wonder of a phone and not include video capture and a better camera (flash, settings, autofocus)

2) How do you text message to an email. WHen you add a contact to text it only adds cell numbers, not email.

3) How do you copy and paste for text messaging or do quick preset texts?

4) Why was there no Back key on the bottom, next to home button, add a back key lol

5) Will MMS ever be allowed?

Hello AT&T

I'm a new member, have 30 days to try out. What attracted me to GSM and AT&T is the ability to interswap swim cards from phone to phone without having to contact customer service.

Question: Say I had two phones, a Multimedia powerhouse like the iPhone, Nokia N96, Samsung Omnia, etc and a regular phone like the Samsung Rugby, are you allowed to switch sim card from phone to phone or do you have to change your plan everytime you do this?

I wish AT&T had a one package everything plan of unlimited text, pic, video, web

Anyone heard this?

I was activating a new ATT phone with ATT customer service and she said I should turn my phone on and off every 3 days.
I'd never heard that before from any carrier much less ATT.
Not to mention I've never experienced any problem by not cycling power every 3 days.

MOTO Z9 AND V9

With a new Razr2 coming out I was wondering why did ATT make the older V9 and Z9 that ugly brown color?
Did they get some kind of discount on a color Motorola couldn't get rid of?

Time to upgrade and need help...

Here are priorities:

#1 Excellent call quality and signal strength.
#2 Quad band for international travel.
#3 Fast, easy texting. (Qwerty would be nice)
#4 Excellent battery life.
#5 No need for data plan, only call/text.
#6 Camera not necessary.
#7 Smallish form factor.
#8 Simple is good.

I'm intrigued by the TMobile G1 which is not out yet as it looks to be a simple phone with qwerty keyboard. However, I've been loyal to AT&T and have had good success travelling with their network.

First question. Do smart/pda phones require a data plan?

I had an early Treo and the call quality was awful. They were also too big/heavy as is the
AT&T Tilt. Is Palm Centro any better?

What about Samsung Blackjack II, Blackberry Pe...

I can't believe AT&T does this!

So, my billing cycle just started on the 3rd. I haven't used my phone for text messages at all since then. Still, I went online today, only to find out that I've used 17 of my 200 messages. WTF? As I looked deeper online at my account usage and the numbers "I've texted" it turns out those text messages were sent and received on the 2nd (last day of my last billing cycle) They even have a couple of messages from the 1st. This is pisses me off. I think they should get this together, because now I'm going to stop sending messages a day or two before my billing cycle ends, just so I have the whole 200 for the next billing cycle.

Sim Card Swapping

I'm a new iPhone owner and wondering if I could get a secondary phone such as the Samsung Rugby and swap my sim card from iphone to Rugby and vice versa. Would I still get unlimited text, pic, video, web going from iphone to regular phone?

600 minute family talk plan

Anyone else heard about this yet? 600 minute rate plan is replacing the 550 minute family talk plan, for the same price.

I wonder if this means the 700 minute talk plan is next? Seeming as how now it's only an extra 100 minutes for $10 more? That's $.10 a minute, heh... Bet this one is going to be changed next...

Wonder if the 850 minute plan is going to be brought back into action.

Change in phone

If I had the Iphone 3G more than 30 days, and now feel like getting a blackberry on at&T ( for example Bold ) , will that mean breaking the contract even though both use AT&T3 G network ?

Help!

Im so sick and tired of customers coming in and wanting us to help them with there plan, not adding features or anything, then going to walmart and upgrading because they have cheaper phones!

I just had a situation where this lady came in, and was all like "ohcan you help, we are wanting to upgrade a line and add one, and maybe moving a line over to another account" so I spend about 30 minutes with them, letting helping them save money and giving them all account details, then she goes ok well what free phones do you have. and I tell her, well at the time we are not offering Free phones, except just one. And she was like "well walmart has all sorts of free phones" and I tried explaining "Walmart is Walmart, we have more varieties and our...
