the sidekick 3 has edge and the sidekick 2 has gprs. edge is a tad bit faster for internet speeds then gprs.

But both are slower than molasses, get a pda with Sprint, their internet speeds destroy the t-mobs. Don't get me wrong, I like T-Mobile, but if you are looking at getting a device made for going on the internet, get one that has a network made for what you want to do.

I was at Sprint today for this very reason. I want a pda to go online with. The problem is that they told me i would have to get a voiceplan as well as the data plan. I only want the data plan cause i am using verizon for my voice. Anyone know if what they told me is true? The guy didn't seem to smart so I don't know if he knew what he was talking about.

I don't know but Verizon's network is just as fast as Sprint's for fast internet speeds on a pda. Try that out.

it's true, you do need to get a voice service, because they do offer the wireless cards for your laptop and home internet.

If you have Cingular, Verizon, or Sprint i would go with the Wireless cards, all of them are pretty good and the price is reasonable if you have they're service already.

If you have T-mobile, sorry, no dice.
