TMob vs Cingular in NYC tri-state?

Because I frequently travel to Europe I'm bolting VZW in favor of one of the two GSM carriers.
Phones are Blackjack vs Dash and I consider them to be more or less equal. I mean one has WiFi but the other has HSDPA, one has bigger screen but the other has side scroll wheel, etc.
What I'm concerned is about networks and general coverage and quality. Cingy seems to have an edge on 3G data (which I would prefer to have) and overall coverage (correct me if I'm wrong) but compared to TMob sucks in customer service (according to Consumer Reports).
I'll appreciate your thoughts on this and help. Thanks!

Here in Manhattan and close burbs it all suddenly became a Cingular country - lots of big shiny stores, lots of ads, etc. With TMob, maybe I'm wrong, but it looks like there's less and less of them. Just yesterday I wanted to check TMob vs Cingular and simply to play with Dash. I went to Newport Mall. There was a huge Cingular store where I could play with live Blackjack all I want. For the whole huge mall the only TMob presence was a small kiosk on wheels where the were no live phones and there were no Dash at all.
Is this only in NYC or in other markets also? Why?

Are you nuts in Mahnhattan? There is a T-mobile every other block hello just like all the Cingulars.

I understand that Tmobile will be launching 3G very soon,, they just won and purchased alot of spectrum during the recent fcc auction. They are going to be a very strong company once they launch their 3G ,,, I frequently travel to Europe as well and have used both Cingular and Tmobile. I prefer Tmobile in that their coverage continues to expand at a very fast pace,, their international coverage is excellent all over Europe. Roaming from the US to anywhere overseas both Europe and aAia is extremely smooth..as well as coming back from overseas to the US,,, I have not had any problems in Europe whatsoever,, even high in the mountains in Europe there is coverage,, text messaging from Europe to the US is flawless and the pricing for texting inte...
