What is T-mobile's data rate for a Smartphone device (Nokia E62 or E61) if I bought it unlocked? No BB email server, just mobile web data.

really depending you may be able to get away with the basic T-Zones i know that works for the sony erricson PDAs out of europe for syncing email and such that is only $4.99 but if that does not work you would haft to use the $29.99 plan for the unlimited data

I said earlier:

I think I am going to buy a Nokia E61 Series 60 smartphone from either eBay or one of those unlocked GSM phone online stores.

So I here's what I think my plan of attack is going to be:

1) Buy the $30 plan and add t-zones internet feature for $5.99 per month. I will get the Nokia 6030 with the plan so I can use it as a back up phone if ever needed.

2) Take the E61 and put the SIM card into it.

3) Set up options so when I use web browsing, it uses the $5.99 per month T-zones Internet.

Can someone list steps to take for step 3 please. thank...

lol sorry dude it got misunderstood it will only be one of those two data plans you wont need both either the $30 plan or the $5.99 Plan and as far as setting up the phone for T-Mobile use its easy just get tech support on the line and ask them to send the settings to your phone doesnt take that long and if you have a store retail nearby they can do it to if they know how or you can do it yourself from T-Mobile.com just look up the dotac system ist pretty easy and more questions my friend?

What about with the BlackBerry Pearl? Would adding $5.99 Tzones internet work with the Pearl? Would I be able to use BB email and the web browser, or is there some limited WAP browser I have to use?

Since BlackBerries use a lot of data, would they audit my account and put me on per KB charges without notifying me?

the T-Zones plan sadly enough will not work for the blackberry the blackberrys have the data plan to enable all of their usage and the stuff like the web browser email set up and everything since you haft to be logged into a blackberry system in order to use it

That is exactly correct. T-Zones will do nothing for a BB b/c BBs actually need the BB servers open to them to do anything. It's the way they are designed. Even mms will not work w/o the BB feature.

5.99 t-zones should do the trick I believe. I'm not so sure on the E61, but if it's anything like using S60 3rd edition to any extent, you should have no problem getting t-zones to work for all of your connections. Also, after getting the settings sent out to the handset from nokia's configurator, or manual configuration, take out the proxy server address and the proxy port number. should allow you to make connections to some things you may not have been able to previously. The only real benefit I got out of it was being able to check myspace on the n80

Unlimited t-zone homepage with prepaid. You can only go to the downloadable content with t-zones on prepaid.

So like Ringtones?

I thought you also got "T-zones Web" or whatever it may be called, and that if you use a S60 smartphone with it, it will give you full Internet access.
