Can the E315 be used on SunCom's network?

Simply can this Samsung model be used on the "TDMA" GSM network of SunCom.

I only ask because T-Mobile's coverage is amazingly bad in this area--and I'm less than one mile away from the highway.

No it cannot. T-Mobile uses GSM. SUNCOM, as you mentioned, uses TDMA.

Are you sure? I haven't unlocked my phone yet, but I was able to use a T-Mobile SIM card in a nokia phone that used 1900 mhz (a suncom phone).

Well, to the best of my knowledge, Suncom was bought out and eventually became AT&T, which did convert from tdma-gsm. I suppose it's entirely possible if you have a gsm phone from suncom, then unlocked, yes it should work.
