Can a T-Mo employee answer an easy question?

I just got my bill for this month, and I went over my minutes for the first time by something like 100, which ended up doubling my bill (I have Smart Access w/Nights).

My question is this (and I hope it really is easy. sorry if it's not): How much extra would I have to pay to get Unlimited Nights & Weekends if I switched over to the Smart Access 1000 plan? In a situation like this, would it have cost me more or less than my overage charges?

I've never gone over my minutes before, so I was surprised how much it added up to be. However, I pay $0.40 per minute for overages, so it's pretty rough. Is it the same rate for Smart Access 1000, or does it vary based on the individual customer?

OK, I guess that was 3 questions 🤭

You cannot add nights and weekends to the Smart Access 1000 plan in most cases, if we are talking about the 1000 minutes for 39.99 promotional plan. You may want to check into the 49.99 regional plan, which gives you 3000 flat rate minutes, but only to or from a local area, usually two or three states in your area.

aw, man! I guess I'll just have to stop talking so much ☚ī¸

I asked in an email to T-Mobile Customer Care how long was left in my contract, and they ignored that question and sort of answered the one about Smart Access, but they didn't say all that, so thanks for the answer!

It's a plan with special restrictions that allows people with bad or no credit history to get on a regular postpaid account without paying a large deposit.

It's not publicized or promoted in any way... it's basically offered to someone as an option after a credit check is performed and that is the only thing that they qualify for.

yeah, and I also have very little money and self-control, so if my account balance goes over $150, they freeze it for me, which is really nice to have in case I screw up.

I have no credit, by the way, not bad credit, just so you know. 😉

If you have very little self-control you're going to land in trouble even if you now have smart access. I'd advise you to learn some self-control or maybe it would be better if you used prepaid since you can't use more than you pay for 🙂

That or USE the tools we give you to keep track of your minutes 🙂 #646# (check your minutes from your phone) T-Mobile.com/mytmobile, and 611-its a free call, talk to one of us! do you use a lot of mobile-mobile? (by that I mean Tmobile-tmobile)? if you do for just $6.99 you can add that unlimited to the Nationwide plans...(only available for $5 and 500 minutes on the regional plan) Also be responsible for your payments...make them on time, in 12 months if you havent been suspended more than once in a 6 month time frame (counted back 6 months from the date you call to do this) but smartaccess is nothing that HAS to be perminent 🙂 try your best for 12 months (minimum time) let us help you out along the way--but for us to help you-ya got...

I was actually kind of joking. I do have self control, just not much money, and I didn't want to make a big deposit. And prepaid doesn't help me build credit, so it's useless to me.

One suggestion I have not seen is to consider signing to the new Three Day Weekend promo for $39.99 plus $9.99 for Unlimited Nights. This will extend your Free time as your 600 Whenever minutes are only used Mon-Thur days, Unlimited Nights start at 9PM and you have Unlimited Talk Time from 9PM Thur to 6:59AM Mon. As always review your old bills to see if this satisfies your calling patterns.
