The FCC filing for the HTC TyTN II, filed in May 2007 but under confidentiality agreement until recently contains six User Manuals. Browsing through these User Manuals reveals that the first one, "KAIS100", has several mentions of MyFaves, T-Mobile Hotspot login screens, and t-zones. There are also several screenshots in the User Manual showing the HTC TyTN II sporting the pink and grey T-Mobile USA theme.

Page 223, the UMTS bands are listed, with "800/1700/2100" being listed as "For Japan." Odd thing is, T-Mobile doesn't operate in Japan. Also, no T-Mobile division, aside from T-Mobile USA, currently offers MyFaves. T-Mobile USA is rumored to be launching their 3G UMTS/HSDPA network in the coming months, so the HTC TyTN II would be a gre...

I was the person to leak the link to Boy Genius Report, and I guarantee you that the 110 and 120 versions also mention T-Mobile USA. To clarify any doubts about the 1700 band, Qualcomm msm7200, the chipset used, doesn't not support the Japanese band. As a matter of fact Qualcomm had stated last year that this chipset was created to work AWS.

These links show that the 2100/1700/800 are in fact AWS.

Haaaah, 3G in the coming months. Gov. bureaucracies can take years just to order paper clips and TMo expects them to get off the bandwith? TMo better start greasing their pockets, congress men, senators, lobbiest, whoever so they can get moving.
I hope you're right and things come together but I'm not holding my breath.

Also, the manuals only reference EDGE. And if they release this great phone with no 3G I'm getting out of TMo and sign with the Lucifer.....opps, I mean ATT.

The fact that it is a 3G is inferred with the bands included. T-Mobile will not announce a phone is 3G when very few markets will initially offer when it comes out. When I bought my first Dash the box and manual stated WinMo 5 but with my second Dash it stated WinMo 6. Manuals and phones can change with the introduction of new technology. And if you belief excess money has not changed hands, maybe you shouldn't stay with T-Mobile. Go to ATT, they will be upfront with you when they steal your money.
