My T-Mobile signup + T-zones?

I activated my T-Mobile account 3 days ago. The website says I need to wait 72 hours to activate the My T-Mobile and be able to do things over their site... Ok, I waited and now it simply says the service is not available... I have heard complaints about this before, is it ever available for new people to sign up?

Also, I just had them put T-Zones on my account, how long will it take for the service to kick in as I can not yet use it. They said it'd take 2 hours for the 9.99 unlim txt so I'm guessing it'd be about that time for the T-Zones also?

Is there a number to call like Verizon to 'sync' my phone with their closest towers or anything like that?

For T-Zones you need to wait about 48 hours for it to be active. Sometimes the website has problems. Try calling customer service - dial 611 on your phone (free call) and they should be able to help you out. I signed up for the website the day I got my phone so I don't know about any time limit.
With T-Mobile and other GSM carriers, you do not need to call a number to sync your phone with the latest list or towers (like *228 for Verizon). When new towers are put up, you can automatically connect to them. Instead of having a list of towers you can use on your phone, the towers know whether you can connect to them or not.

For T-zones, (really with any data add on)yeah generally about 48 hours to be effective, they CAN come through sooner, though. Just as long as you've registered for your T-Mobile.com account, and have had the T-Zones feature added you should be fine. Just give us a shout if more time than that passes by so we can troubleshoot. However, it's best to call us from a different phone than your cell (611). 1-800-937-8997 if you are having problems. We can't effectively troubleshoot with you talking to us on it. 🙂
