Why isn't the Samsung E315 listed on T-Mobile.com anymore?

The E315 was indeed missing from the website for a few days. But now it's back and is being offered "free" with new activation through Sunday 12/12. I just bought it today. 🙂 😁 😛

Will I be able to upgrade to that phone? I currently have an X105, which I think is just an ok phone. I'd like to know that since I upgraded in the end of April this year, what will the upgrade cost be under this circumstance? Let it be known also that I am a Family Talk plan customer on the $49.99/month family plan and would want to upgrade just one of my two phones.

Thanks!

That Family Talk plan does not gather tenure like the 69.99 plans or single line plans above 39.99, first of all. Second, assuming you did have a qualifying plan, you would have to be thirty days from the end of your current contract, or from the one year anniversary of your last upgrade, in some cases. Third, that special online offer of the free e315 is only for brand new customers activating online. Unless I'm mistaken, the retail stores aren't even doing it.

🤭 Alrighty well I'll be u/g'ing to the $70 plan, which I believe accrues tenure for an upgrade and then subsequently wait till any newer/better models come out in April 2005, which is when my contract is up. (i.e, if I don't p...

Make sure that by switching to that plan you won't be pushing your upgrade date back. It is considered promotional unless you leave off the free nights, and promotional plans always require a new contract. They might be able to extend your contract now, but still keep you eligible to upgrade in April. You'll want to be sure you check that out.

Rate plan upgrades have no affect on handset upgrade eligibility, regardless of being promotioanl or not. This is one of the great things about T-Mobile. As long as it has been at least 11 months since last handset upgrade AND you have been on a qualifying rate plan for 11 cumulative months (and are on that plan at time of rebate department processing the rebate), you have no worries. :-)

I have seen it in the past, though if a long time customer has been on a qualifying pp and has had sufficient time since last upgrade, but is not curently on a qualifying pp, the cihu tool will still allow the "same as new" pricing.

I know that it is supposed to work that way, but I have had customers that somehow got screwed, so I was just encouraging him to double check.
