VOIP?
I just saw a TV commerical for T-Mobile pimping free calls from your home that suggested (said? don't remember) VOIP on a cell phone in home, then cell outside of home...
Anyone know anything about this?
...
It was their UMA or what they call "HotSpot@Home" service. In plain English, it uses GSM and Wifi signals to transmit back and forth. It is better than VOIP. You need to have the necessary equipment in order for it to work.

you just need @Home support phone, it will work with existing LAN with broadband (it uses 220k)
...
I know. That is why I said you still need equipment to use the service.

It works best with a tmobile router and and a hotspot@home router and a hotspot@home phone. I prefer the CURVE 🤤
