Tmobile - Lost number recovery? free phone w/ fam plan hack ??
Well im a Tmob. Coustomer on a Family Plan w/ 3 lines.
1 of the lines are & have been done with the contract!
I read on another site on how to get a NEW tmobile phone WITH OUT being a new coustomer.
It stated that i can call tmob. cancel my line and call them again and call after a little while and ADD A NEW LINE to the family plan
(making it 3 lines again).
Then, when i get the new free phone i call Tmob. and ask them to do a LOST NUMBER RECOVERY.
will that work & will i get my old number on the new phone!??

Ohh and btw. do i have to wait a certain amount of time for the LOST NUMBER RECOVERY TO WORK ?

This is what Tmo calls Churn..... they most like catch you.... There have been some really bad dealers out there doing shady stuff kinda like this.... they will make you reactivate a deactivated line within 90 days if you try to cancel one and the get a new line. The problem lies in that they will recycle your number right at 60 days so you are taking a risk of getting it back.
But why go thought the hassel and maybe NOT get that number when you can just do this....
Go to Cingular... port the number and get a free phone, never use the phone, wait a day, and then goto Tmo and port the number back once you can rec and make calls on the Cingy phone... Then return the Cingy free phone..
I know it's NOT the way you are supose to do thing...

When I say you should be able to get a new phone on the out of contract line at the same price.... this is known as an upgrade... You should just call the corp store and ask them how much the phone you want is with an upgrade.... they will have to look up your account, becuase depending on where you are at in your contract you can recieve diff discounts...

Well ^^ I KNOW WHAT AN UPGRADE IS ..dont worry im not a noob or nothing- Im out of contract but i wanted to take advantage of the tmobile "WINDOWS MOBILE" promotion which i read on another site...
bascially you gotta have a fam. plan or bus. plan ... and i was out of contract on my fam. plan so I GOT AN UPGRADE ... but not really the way it would be described by tmobile...
basically I cancelled my line , added a new line & now i am waiting to receive the new phone
(THE TOMBILE WING -->WHICH I GOT FOR $50 w/ M. REBATE)
then all i gotta do is LOST NUMB RECOVERY...
and no if you do a standard upgrade ...
YOU GET VERY ****TY PHONES -> THAT ARE ONLY FREE IF YOU SIGN A 2 YR CONTRACT...
SO THIS IS MY WAY OF GETTIN THE SEXY ...
