replacement for the 6600?
Aimee
T-Mobile is pissing me off. They even have the Motorola V3 Razr. Even though I don't want that phone, its still stupid how they have it yet they wont release it in the US, while Cingular has.
That's why I am buying a 7610 from Cingular and using it on T-Mobile.
Thanks!

Man! So should I get that 6600? What to do! Hmmm.... does it work if you get a fone from one carrier and use it with another?
Thanks!
Aimee
OK let me be of better help to you than the previous person (Taha24). What are your requirements for a cellphone? Tell me what you use the most vs. the least? Do you travel internally at all? Anyother criteria you want to see in the new phone?
Thanks!

Hi! I think she wants it for taking pictures, def traveling internationally (mostly to asia,) and um, im'ing ppl too. She's always SMS'ing me and her friends. So that's a must. Also, bad experiences with Samsung and Motorola, I think. I asked her about that new Motorola and she didn't like it.
Thanks!
Aimee
What kind of bad experiences did she have with the Samsungs and Motorolas? Be as specific as you can as that would help the decisioning here a great deal.
On the Motorola account, I'll agree with you that she had a bad experience. A couple of my friend as well as I myself had Motorola and didn't particularly care for them. After that, I upgraded to a Samsung X-105....

Thanks!!!! I'll look around--I think she likes the Nokia 6600 because it's not a flipfone and also because it has camera and video, although I'm not sure she is ever going to use the video part. We were in Asia this summer and a friend had it and it looked pretty cool. Plus I had a Nokia and the battery life lasted forever!!!!

then if you still are looking for an upgrade, I'm not sure to say whether the 3660 is going to do the trick or not. T-Mo repps please step in here and assist.
Thanks!

Id go with the D415
It's a Samsung. I thought you said she had bad experiences with Samsung phones in the past which is why I didn't suggest it to start. But yes, you are right it's a good phone. Many people I've seen on this forum like it.

I sell the crap out of this phone. LOL... I havent had one come back (Or call) about any problems. Things are improving... dont let one bad experience ruin you on such an awesome phone.
I hear ya! I myself would have like to have gone for this but $$$$$ was a big issue at this point. Realize I have bigger bills to pay than ever before in my life, especially after having bought a brand new built home and the arrival of my first new born child. Compromises! Compromises! 😉

congratulations on the baby and the house. The phone will probably be alot cheaper in the coming months if I was to guess. We are selling it for less than 250 with new acts. (I hope saying that wasnt considered advertising.. I didnt mention a store name or place) Im not sure if it is offering a rebate at this time.
What is it right now if I upgrade? T-Mobile told me last Friday that I had 18 Months accrued on a qualifying rate plan and so with that being said, I don't happen to recall what they said the D415 would cost in those circumstances. Will find out and let you know.
And thanks for the well wishing. ;-)
If I've left something out, or misspoken, someone please correct me.

Im not sure of the customer care price on the D415 with upgrade. I work in sales, Im sorry. I can call and find out if youd like... With 18 months, you definitely qualify for the upgrade.
I called in myself yesterday... would you believe it for a customer with 18 months of qualification towards an upgrade this phone is priced through T-Mobile CC @ $299 + Tax and no rebate offers? Too much $$$$.

Wow. Our store hardly ever beats customer care prices... Thats terrible it costs that much. Im sorry!
If I came to your store and did it, how much would the same u/g be?
