i about to purchase a laptop on friday and i'm trying to get internet service for it. i have a blackberry pearl with the blackberry unlimited add on. my question is can i use my blackberry as a modem and if so do i have to pay the 39.99 for the t-mobile internet?

yes you can use it as a modem, and whatever data plan you have on it will give it its power. as long as you have $19.99 and up you'll be fine.
