browser and MMS settings
Hey everybody... I just put my T-Mobile SIM card in one of our Motorola V551's for Cingular, and surprisingly it was already unlocked. If I wanted to use this phone, do you know where I could download the browser and MMS settings for my phone from? I know that when I've been setting up unlocked Nokias I could download the carrier specific settings directly from Nokia's website, but I can't figure out how to do this for Motorola. I suppose if all else fails I can just get a V300 or V600 out and copy the settings, but I was hoping to get this done the easy way. Thanks.

No, I'm a dealer and I sell both carriers. Not all of Cingular's phones come unlocked, but the V551 does, apparently, and so does the LG L1400.

Try this site for browser (t-zones) settings. If that doesn't help call customer care.

Thanks, baby girl, but I did already see that. Those settings don't match up to what the phone asks for. I think I'm just going to get a V300 out and copy it. 😉

D'oh! I just got a V300 out and apparently T-Mobile has disabled that part of the menu that lets you view/change browser settings. 😡

Try the V600. If not, call customer care or maybe someone on here from CC can help. I'd look it up for you but I don't log on here from work, too busy 🙂

I called in to tech support yesterday and she sent me the settings over the air but it still won't load the t-zones home page. Plus, the profile that she sent me is locked so that I can't see or mess with the settings. Thanks!
