Does T-mobile have "new every two"???
We currently have Verizon but are looking to switch to T-Mobile as soon as my daughter's phone contract is up. We have three lines and two will be finished with the contract soon and her's will be up a few months after that. Verizon no longer will give us $50 towards a new phone after two years. They will only give that for the main line. What is T-Mobile's policy?
Thanks!

After 22 months of a 2 year contract (11 months of a 1 year contract) the line will become fully eligible for the max discount on a new phone.
There's no set % for the discount, and the prices on the phone vary month by month.
As long as you keep good payment history, by 22 months at the latest you'll be eligible. Sometimes you become eligible earlier than that.

prices are only what web or store shows for 1 or 2 year contracts.tmobile gives no more discounts off the contract prices. if you go to a dealer you may get a phone cheaper than corp stores sell, but you most likely will be signing 2 contracts, one tmoble and one for dealer. also for verizon if your last contract was signed before 2/5/06 you would still get 100.00 credit off 2 year contract pricing on phones on primary line. also discount has always been on the primary line on family share plans. but if you have 3 lines and each has it own plan of 35.00 or more, then each line would get the ne2 credit. so if you wanted a phone that 2 year contract price is 149.99 with 50.00 rebate and with your ne2 if before 2/5/06. then phone would be fre...

Thanks for the info. Our contract was signed after 2/5/06 so we only get the $50. I just expected it and was surprised when we didn't get it.

well it has always been on primary line for the extra off. secondaries still get the 1 or 2 year pricing. but at this time no other carriers give any extra credits. even sprint gives 75.00 after 1 year or 150.00 after 2 year contracts, but the amount is off the full retail of the phones. not the 2 year prices. like with vzw if 2 year price is 149.99,then the full retail will be around 269.99. but ggod luck on which carrier you go with.

Im not sure if Im just misunderstanding you, but what you say about T-Mobile discounts sounds off. Ill just explain how it works.
Each line on a T-Mobile family plan has its own contract. If you sign a 2 year contract, you get the full discount at 22 months. This is at least like new pricing or better. It can be anywhere from $100-$250 off a phones invoice price. If you do a 1 year contract, you get that full discount at 11 months.
Now each line gets its own discount, so if you have 5 lines with T-Mobile, you will get 5 full discounts.
However you can also get a partial discount during your contract. This can be anywhere from $40-$110 off the retail price of the phone, with a 2 year extention of your contract. If you use this discou...

You also get about 50-75 bucks off after 6 months on a 2 year contract. it will be diffrent on every model and i have had a few of the higher handsets that get 100+ off the full price.
