Test your UMA knowledge... Hard Question..

So.... I have the Curve and use it on WMA. (Which is clear as a bell and badass by the way).... what's even better is I can use it on ANY OPEN WIFI.

So here is the hard question:

I have family in South Africa. They have wifi in their house. So when I visit why couldn't I connect to their wifi and make/receive calls?

Better yet... why couldn't I take an extra phone with me (add it onto my family plan), and she can call us M2M free via her wifi?

Just thinking outside the box here...

Thanks for your input...

100% YES!

Based on others expirences first hand (google)... If you have the "UMA" on your screen... you can make free calls to the US via Wifi from ANYWHERE! Now if you were in South Africa and called S.A. it would chage you international long distance.

This is awesome news! I'll be adding s a line for 9.99 and sending it to my fam so we can chat for free.

this is actually a good thing for T-Mobile users
nobody would pay that roaming
but users may miss call when SIM is removed
TalkForever is the best solution for travelling users, just make sure WorldClass is disabled, and Long Distance Blocking is enabled to prevent bill error
