Samsung 315

Im looking to get a new phone I hate my v300. How is the 315? Does it support mp3 ringtones? Im just looking for a solid phone with great reception I dont need all the fancy stuff bluetooth video etc. camera is ok to have.

I've has the E315 about a month and really like it. The cam takes reasonable pics, the phone is lightweight but feels solid and reception is good. Battery life is pretty good if you don't use the cam too often.

The phone allows you to customize caller id which is a nice touch. Check out the forum on the phone on this site, a lot of info there.

The E315 is a very solid phone. It doesnt have all the extras, but it has enough. You mentioned about mp3's? Sorry, that it doesn't do. It does however support "hi-fi" ringers, which are actual song clips, just in a different format. I don't know of any off the top of my head, but I suppose it'd be possible to rig a way to get the phone to take converted mp3 files through some form of interaction...what-I don't know.

The only quarks I don't like about it: The external display will not light up on command, rather only when a call comes or message comes in, or when the phone is flipped open which defeats the point entirely. Also, the "service light" is enough to make you go insane! If you have your phone on silent for example because you'r...
