Another @Home Thread About Overseas
If you havent heard, @home II is basicly a router that holds the SIM card directly in it(up to two sim cards) and then landline like phones connect to the router. It can work a few ways, you can either pop out your SIM card from your phone and pop it in there(making it possible for everyone to have @home regardless to if they have an @home cellphone), or you can have a dedicated line that just stays in the router. The way it call is still the same exact way as the original @home.
Im thinking that it would be possible to hook up one of these routers overseas, with an @home enabled SIM card for unlimited calls back ho...

on the mobile phone you can have it ONLY use wifi so you have no chance of roaming....
The problem I see with the @HomeII is that you have to plug in your landline. So therefore you would have to unplug and replug it in when you wanted to make a local call to the country you are in. Or you would have to use a splitter and a switch for each connection.
So both have their issues... I think I prefer getting a cheap UMA phone... it's easier to carry with you.... and I don't see how you could hook up the router in an airport when you are traveling...lol... So I say go with a UMA phone for now...
