Advice. . .

I am a dealer for t-mobile and i have been having some service problems but I havent got any good answers from cc. First anyone else having problems logging on to my tmobile? I have not been able to log on for over a month.

Secondly, Ive been having some coverage issues where i live (NE ohio). I have used pcc and I am in a "good" area. I have a E715 and my siglnal constantly bounces up and down and cuts in and out. Would this have anything to do with the sim because the sim i have active is an old voice stream sim.

Are there any tmobile phones that have better signal strength? becuase I have been thinking about buying one off ebay or something. . .Thanks for the advice.

😁 I have the E715 also, but I get Excellent reception with the phone. The problem that you might have is that your local tower may be under construction. You should call T-Mobile cust. care, and have them check your tower location, and don't let them tell you that junk that they don't see anything wrong in your area, have them check the tower issues in your area. I had a problem last month with my reception, which I normally didn't have, so I called Cust. Care, and one rep said, we don't have any problems in your area. I didn't believe that, since my friend had the same problem cause we are 2 blocks away from each other, and so is the tower. One rep helped me, and saw that there was a problem and told me that it will be fixed in like 6 ...

I would check to see if there are any network issues in your area. If you are really considering purchasing another, then I'd look at purchasing one of the quad band phones, such as the Motorola V600 or the Motorola a630. If you know anyone that has such phones in your area, ask how their service is with the phone models that they have with T-Mobile. Remember when you purchase off of eBay, you have no buyers remorse period like when you purchase directly from T-Mobile. Also, you might want to check with other friends, colleagues, etc. in your area and see how their T-Mobile service is. I had T-Moble service a few years ago and I switched because the signal was strong in some areas and no signal at all. I travel up and down the east coa...

If we show coverage on the coverage map - a quad band phone will make all the problems go away. Calling 611 or visiting a store to file a trouble ticket is the best way to go.

would a bb 7100t do the job? have you had any customer feedback on this phone?

One more question too, people that call me say it takes multiple times to get though, many times it goes straight to voice mail. . .any advice?

😁 It might be the VoiceStream SIM card thats not registering correctly on the T-Mobile network. The old SIM that you have might not have the updated technology that the current T-mobile SIM cards have. I suggest that you change the SIM card to an up-to-date T-Mobile SIM card. Keep me posted!

And what would this new "technology" be? I have a 4.5 year old VoiceStream SIM card and I don't have any problems.

Am I wrong for saying that? If the VoiceStream SIM cards were still good, T-mobile would still be using them. Thats why if you have them, they tell you to get another SIM card that has the T-Mobile on it, and has the ability to make a DIRECT connection with the T-Mobile network.

Well, yes and no...truthfully a newer sim card may help out. It's nothing like where cingular has a 64k sim vs. a 32k sim or anything, but sim cards can wear down just line any other normal electronic piece of equipment. Newer sim cards do have newer I guess you could say software in them that can react differently with newer equipment vs. older equipment. It's always worth a shot-It's definately helped out more than one customer...

😁 What the difference between a 64K SIM card and a 32K SIM card? Is T-Mobile getting the 64K Sim cards?

I don't know the specifics, so any cingular reps please jump in here lol.....From my understanding, when you use a 64k sim with one of their ens (enhanced network selection/service ??) phone, it allows the phone to draw in a stronger signal from either a cingular or aws tower, then from the list of affiliate networks if those are not available. If I'm not mistaken, they are helping out with the network during the merger pretty well, and I'm sure afterwards they will work well, too. There is no need for T-Mobile to get a 64k sim.

And why would you even *need* a quad band phone on T-Mobile considering that T-Mobile only uses 1900 Mhz?

Not necessarily...quad band phones only benefit is pocket roaming. Basically, IF we have a roaming agreement in a specific area, and 1900mhz is not available, 850 will be allowed. This doesn't occur often either. There are some countries as well that only operate in 850mhz such as ecuador and uruguay.
