Mobi-TV

Does any know if T-Mobile supports Mobit-TV? Mobi-TV is a third party program that allows you to watch streaming video and live TV on your handset. If not, when? I know Cingular and Sprint has it, but why not T-Mobile?

T Mobile does not offer it. The reason they do not offer it is because they dont have the data speeds required to transfer the data fast enough. Both Cingular and Sprint do have high speed data.

I've never seen it first hand, but I hear its horrible. Very poor image quality, choppy, and that the audio quality is equally bad.

There won't be any good Mobile Television until Cingular rolls out with the HSPDA. And other carriers with whatever they offer as a 3G high speed data solution, like Verizon with EV-DO, I'm not sure if Sprint is going to do that too. There is Mobile TV, but it's far from being halfway decent.

Why would Mobi-TV be all good quality once Cingular rolls out whatever? Because YOU think Cingular is the BEST?? 🙄

Dude, if you dont know what you're talking about dont post.

Cingular didnt roll out with MobiTV, MobiTV is a 3rd party service that happens to be compatible with Cingular, but only one phone.

Oh well, look is saying don't post if I don't anything! I do know and that is what I meant, if you were smart enough and took the time and thought out what I wrote and compared it to what you wrote, you should have come up w/ a good conclusion. You said that when Cingular rolls out another "high-speed" systems that the "quality & audio" will be much better, but what makes you so sure that only when Cingular it will get better? Why can't it be Sprint, Verizon, or T-Mobile? 🙄

Where in this statement...

Do you see me saying...

You apparently didn't put all of what you said!
You: "There won't be any good Mobile Television until Cingular rolls out with the HSPDA."

Me: What makes you so sure it will be Cingular that will make better with the new "high-speed" system? Why can't it be Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile?

READ!!!!!!!!! Ok? READ!!!!!!!!

Umm.. MAYBE because Cingular is the only carrier that's going to roll out with HSPDA anytime soon?

If I had said, "There won't be any good Mobile Television until Cingular, Verizon, T Mobile, and Sprint roll out with HSPDA", that would have been an incorrect statement because so far, like I said previously, Cingular is the only carrier that has HSPDA in it's works.

Verizon has EV-DO
I dont know what Sprint has, maybe EV-DO as well.
T-Mobile has EDGE in the works.

Therefore I can only attribute HSPDA to Cingular, that being the reason I only stated Cingular.

Mobile Television won't be good with Cingular until they roll out with HSPDA. Meaning, im talking about Cingular and only Cingular. There's no need to shed tears over this...

Lets think about this. What would be smoother, streaming video via dial-up or with a T1 line? HSPDA, when it is launched, will provide genuine wireless broadband as opposed to less than 56k speeds. Stop getting your panties in a bunch just because you think somebody was talking bad about your beloved T-Mobile.

I've learned that you can't just say things like that to AberFitch, they need to be broken down for him in order for him to be able to even begin to understand the concept you are throwing at him.

It appears as if he gets very offended and/or upset when someone states the fact that T-Mobile does not offer high speed data/internet. Same goes for when someone points out that Verizon...

In all honesty... I've never once claim to be mature.

And if I have, would you like to point out where I said this?

Thanks, yet again!

it may not reach the right time
mobi-TV requires at least 40k of bandwidth
I bet T-Mobile will finally add mobi-TV upon EDGE Internet or T-Zones option
but the contents don't have CNN and ESPN

actually, I don't really need mobi-TV either, I can listen to streaming radios (even shoutcast after EDGE got activated) with pda tethered to phone

Ok everyone this is getting a little out of hand so let's cover the conversation and all aspects of it here:

First off, yes. T-Mobile does not offer data speeds fast enough yet to support streaming video and audio. I have as well seen mobi-TV on sprint, and it's quite choppy, so I agree with the statement that it's not the best as of yet. Of course it will improve, that's the only way for it to go.

Ok, where is T-Mobile going with it's data service? Nobody seems to know. All we know is that it will be upgraded starting this year. We've all heard EDGE has launched in several markets, and we've all heard we are bypassing EDGE and going straight for UMTS-HSDPA.
