Sidekick Slide or Sidekick LX
can someone please give me a hand with this which is the best and why... thanks

Neither of them have features the other does not. It comes down to form factor, and which one you like the most. The LX has a larger screen, yet the phone is larger all together. And the Slide has a smaller screen, yet is a smaller more pocket-friendly phone. The keypad on the LX is a rubber-based pad, while the Slide is hard plastic. I find the LX keypad more responsive though. Also there is price, LX is $100 more.
So go for either phone, get the one that YOU like. Both phones are FATHOMS better than the previous Sidekicks, Ive seen 1 LX defective...ever, and no Slides outside of the recall at the launch. I saw 3-4 defective SK3's a day, still see them a few times a week. Same with the SK2.

TMO needs to come down off that price for the LX! Way too expensive for a device that doesn't have video and not 3g capable. Everything that my Helio Ocean has the LX should have!

The LX does have one huge difference. The screen is a HDTV, to an extent. Sharp procudes the LX, which they put their Aquos technology into it. That gives it rediculously high contrast and color. It also gives it light receptors on the bottom of the screen that automatically adjust the brightness of the screen so it can be seen in almost any light.
Motorola makes the Slide. The Sidekicks run the same operating system, which is built by Danger. (who are now owned by Mocrosoft)
and there are some small details as well. for example the LX's camera has more options, a better longer lasting battery, external CLI, bluetooth 2.0, and supports more media files for the music player.
