T-Mobile footprint...

The question: Should T-Mobile reconsider their strategy and branch out to start covering more of the outlying rural areas off of major highways and interstates, bringing in more customer base, or should they continue to "build-up" the existing network and allow our competitors to spiral out of control to greater numbers, eventually making it impossible to catch up? Consider all of the money T-Mobile is spending on contract renewal campaigns, outsourcing more projects as "trials" on, for instance, collection practices, etc. Give your take on it...

Screw the rural areas. Get better service to the people who have money, understand technology and can appreciate a really bomb network. Spread along major thoroughfares and highways to facilitate travellers, but don't worry too much about what happens off in the fields to the sides. Cows don't use cell phones, too hard to hold in their hooves... 😎

By this point I'd really say that was a rhetorical question, wouldn't you think?

Bottom line: too many people want too many different things, and it would be disasterous if we tried to cater to them all simultaneously. Evidently you never noticed the added coverage T-Mobile got with their Western Wireless agreement or their agreement with AT&T Wireless last year. T-Mobile will never be a Verizon and they've said as much. Even cingulATT doesn't have ubiquitous coverage.

Actually, I did notice that coverage. I scan our ICM every day looking to see what we have in store. I just wanted to post this on here to see if people have their heads on straight and feel the same way I do. I agree with T-Mobile's current game plan and wouldn't want it any other way. I do hope to see more coverage eventually. But right now, we do need to continue down the path we have gone and keep rockin'. Thank you all for your responses. This is the sort of forum discussion that should be happening, not all of that "street ball" that's been plagueing us all recently. Keepin' it real... 😉
