If I had to nail it down to just one thing it would be simplicity. None of this nonsense about how to figure out whether or not you're roaming and being charged--are you in the US? Calling the US? Don't have a 3000 min plan? Don't worry about it. Changing a rate plan? Got overage? No hassle about getting it effective right off the bat, and no weird complicated formula to figure out how many minutes you can use. (Unlike this: https://www.phonescoop.com/carriers/forum.php ?fm=m&ff=2&fi=171387 😳 ) One year contracts. Lots of minutes for dirt cheap. Having a billing issue or a problem with your charges? A billion ways to check it out and really good customer care to help you fix it. 😉 Easy to use, cheap data. Coverage darned go...

Don't forget magical fairy dust. And leprechauns. They help a lot too.

How else do you think we accomplish all this? Did you think it was brains, hard work and good marketing strategy? Tsk, the things people believe in these days, I swan...

You swan? That's not a verb I'm familiar with. You had better be careful about not giving the leprechauns their credit. You do NOT want to get on their bad side. 😈

"I swan" is an antique southernism used by vaporish ladies too genteel to say "I swear." Besides, we don't use leprechauns, we use cluricauns and they're always too drunk to notice what anybody says about them. Watch out, though, because we employ pookas and Red Caps in the collections department and you do NOT want to run afoul of THEM! 🤣

The Cluricaun are a solitary fairy who rob wine cellars and ride sheep and shepherds dogs the live long night... found panting and mud covered in the morning.

Sounds like a typical next-day morning at MY call center, for sure! Yep, it's all about those cluricauns... That's why it's so easy to get credits to accts at TMo, if you're annoying enough the cluricaun will give you money to shut you up so you don't aggravate their hangovers, kinda sad, really... 😳

Oh, and we try not to mention the part about riding the dogs and sheep out loud, it's not HR appropriate... 🤣

Not a thing, and I think that Wee Man skateboarding dressed in an Oompah Loompah costume is one of the funniest things I've ever seen...

With Cingular, you don't have to worry about roaming charges either, as they don't charge roaming just like T-Mobile. US Cellular no longer charges roaming either.

That post about the weird forumla applies only to Verizon. Cingular's bills are very similar to T-Mobile's.

Just because T-Mobile won an award doesn't mean you are protected against not receiving bad customer service.

Just because no other carrier received an award for outstanding customer service doesn't mean you'll only get bad customer service.

T-Mobile has nowhere near the coverage area of Cingular or Verizon. They're comparable with Nextel, which I wouldn't recommend.

There are just as many ways to check your bill with Cingular as there are with T-Mobile.

I'm not going to say T-Mobile is better than Verizon and Cingular, or any other carrier. Nor am I doing to say that vise versa. We're all different.

Here's the real answer: Each carrier has it's own pros and cons. Each carrier has it's bragging rights, and things that definately need improvement. Each carrier offers its own unique solutions to fit the wide variety of needs people have. The best carrier is ________ because it fits into your lifestyle and needs because of _______.

Every answer is going to be different.

Im not gonna say T-Mo is bad..i like the phone i have...as for the CC rep i spoke to last night..she better be greatful i hung up on her rather than tell her everything she was doing wrong in dealing with a customer. If i talk to a customer like she did me, id get fired on the spot.

I agree with bizkitsngracy...
I won't say T-Mobile is the best. All 3 companies are different and are good in a lot of ways.
Coverage-wise: TMobile covers most of the main highways and most larger cities...some rural areas through roaming agreements. Verizon has the largest coverage (but that is due to Analog which will be gone by 2006). Cingular has the largest coverage for a GSM provider in the US
Rate Plans: TMobile is #1-hands down
Contracts-TMobile only has 1 yr contracts. VZ and Cing all have 1 or 2 year contracts.
Phone lineup: Depends on what you want/need in a phone depends on your carrier.
