Hmmmm....I'll level with ya

those little sticker antenna boosters: don't waste your money.

Car kits: work relitively well, not very expensive, but limited to your car.

Home antenna kits: most phones do not have the antenna/cable recepticle as an "open" port to which you must connect the required cable...which is also another hinderence. (It completely takes the meaning of mobile out of mobile phone)

If you want to invest for your home into a frequency repeater system, you'll never not have a signal again in your home. Unfortunately this solution, though growing in availibility and popularity is still rather expensive, and again stationary to one location.

My solution: trash your V300. I'm not speaking as a T-Mobile rep, but ...

Actually the V300 gets very good signal in my experience. There were software glitches with the early batches of them, but they did a software fix quite a while back that seems to have fixed it. I haven't had one come back in a very long time, and my friends that own them are all very happy.

I have a Motorola V600 which has no reception problems. The problem with Samsungs is that they have bad battery life, no speakerphones and do not sync up to the network clock automatically.

no thanks Maverick.. I do not wanna get all tangled up with your Customer Service Reps. It's unbelievable how long you have to stay on the phone with the darn automated machine before you actually talk to a human. Cingular will be loosing lots of customers because of their cust service I'd rather stay with T-mo...

The V300 sucks...get a Samsung...best reception phone out there...Any high end Samsung...(i.e. not the R225/C225)...currently a E715/E105/E315/P735/D415.

I live in "gray" coverage area, aka not so bueno coverage, and sometimes I have to go outside to make phone calls - so I have a little experince with this. I'm surprised that you included the e315 in that list as a good reception phone. I sitch between the v300, v600, e315, and a c225.. the e315 is the worst of all four as far as reception. (Maybee it's the individual phone itself and not the case in general?) The v300 that I use gets better reception than the v600 that I use, and oddly enough the c225 gets the best reception of all 4. Haven't tried the e715 or d415 yet here at the house, maybee I'll grab the demo at work and try these two next time..

Okey day...I used to have a V205 for 2 yrs and it got great reception and the E315 even outperforms it...
Maybe I have low expectations...who knows...
