A short question for T-Mo reps.....
I'm a rep for another wireless carrier, so I'mnot as familiar with all of T-Mobile's services as some of you.
Is SA a type of prepaid service, or some sort of account-management service?
I'm just trying to educate myself so i can better understand these forums.
The program is a wonderful program actually, it helps people manage not to get high bills, be responsible for their usage, and be rewarded for doing well. (as in-it's not designed to be a permanent program)
davesr is right though, you cannot exceed $50/mo in features that are service dependent, etc...You can have a $45.99 smartaccess plan, and add on mobile-mobile, text, callertunes, t-zones etc....and go over $50/mo...but for example the sidekick feature is $20/month. Because the sidekick operates off of a propriotary server, in order to use it and everything it does you have to have that added to your account. 35.99+20.00= not on smartaccess. âšī¸
In this case (just as example) you have 3 choices:
1) Switch to $29.99 voice plan, add $20 sidekick feature
2) have sidekick exclusive plan which is $29.99, unlimited everything except voice minutes; pay as you go $0.20/min
3) Use your sidekick device as a...

Unfortunately, you were misinformed. Smart Access is a required account type for 12 full months. It is after that time that we look at the 6 months up to that date to determine if qualifications have been met to convert to regular postpay. There are no exceptions. Sorry for the confusion.
that is absolutely correct, but let me just add to that a bit of clarification.
What we look at when we convert a smartaccess account to a regular account:
Is the account active?
Is the account delinquent?
Has the account had 12 or more months of tenure?
