There is no company-wide discount available, but there are some military bases that offer discounts, pretty much the way indirect dealers do--activation waivers and such. Inquire of your local benefits officer if you have such a thing... 😉

Amendment to previous: the military installations in question have TMobile kiosks on base, and the offer is for activation fee waivers.

T-Mobile and every other cell-phone carrier HAS to comply with the Service Relief Act for soldiers/sailors/marines/airmen. Also, so does your landlord or apartment community if you rent.

If you are shipped to the sandbox, or otherwise deployed some place like that where you'd likely not have service, call customer care, fax your orders, your done with no ETF to pay (not just T-mobile all carriers). The leases work out differently and are not so cut and dry. I think with them it is on a 30-day notice from when you tell them you must still pay that rent for the month you tell them and the one 30 days out even if your leaving in 15 days, but otherwise it's broken and you owe nothing else.

I have T-mobile, but I don't work for them I work for Verizon Wireless. I can tell you Verizon Wireless to my knowledge does not, and I do not believe T-Mobile does either. I have yet to ask them myself, because I do not ship out until May for the Navy. I could see the on-base carriers possibly doing this, still I doubt it.

T-Mobile doesn't have military discounts, but they do have a special "military suspend" where you can have your phone turned off for thr duration of your deployment without charge and then reactivate on your same plan when you return. Good luck, and thanks for serving.
