Where Can I get a BB Curve Gold??
Hello. I'm new here and not very savy when it comes to cell phones. I've been w/TMobile for 4 years now and have been quite happy. Until now. I've been wanting to upgrade my BB for about a year now but wanted to wait the 22 months (or whatever it is) to get the discounted rate. Can't afford $200 for a cell phone. So I waited and waited. Finally, my waiting period was over and the Curve Gold came up for $99 on their website. I had also gotten a free month offer and the $10 @Home service came out. So I waited a week to get all my info and questions together to do the changes all at once. Now the Curve Gold is gone off their website and I can't find it anywhere. I've called a few times. One rep says it's on back order. Another says...

The gold Curve was discontinued. You might be able to find one at a local corporate or indirect location, but the pricing at the indirect location may be different. I would say just get the Curve Titanium or Sunset because they're going to be much easier to find. Or, better still, wait until early next year when T-Mobile releases a 3G Blackberry.

I agree with robtheman that if you can wait for the Bold or something similar to come out with 3G plus some of the new features I would recommend doing so. It is my understanding the new phones will be out around the first of October but I don't have any inside information, just what I read here. I have the Curve and love it so I feel your pain. But what I have read I am looking forward to the new models with their new features.

I heard through the grapevine that the first 3G Blackberry will be released in the beginning of 2009, around January/February. There will be some new phones (including one Blackberry) coming out before the end of the year, but no 3G Blackberries.

The TMO version of the Bold will be released in October. It will have WIFI and 3G support.

Thanks for the replies. In your opinions, how much do you think these new BB's will go for? Maybe by then the other Curves will be around $100. I unfortunately just can't justify spending more than that on a cell phone.

I might be tempted to pay full retail. I really like my Curve, but the Bold has some features that interest me. Any idea of cost?
