True but you solve issues with overages. if you sell 450 minutes for two people to use that gives them each 17 minutes a day to use thats IF the have N&W. However if you show a better value with a 9.99 higher minute package then you don't have the customer back in your store in a month fired up because of a high bill. The key is to get the customer satisified the FIRST time

No, you're missing the point. The plans that he quoted from T-Mobile are already including the first two lines. When you trotted out Cingular's plans, you were only quoting the price for a single line. For the 600 minute plan, 2 lines would actually cost $69.98 and for the 1100 minute plan 2 lines would cost $79.98. Also, all T-Mobile family plans include free nights and weekends and M2M, no roaming nationwide, and no long distance nationwide.
And just to cut you off before you start crowing about rollover or ripping T-Mobile's coverage, let me just say that where I live, I can't make a call on my Cingular phone without getting the call dropped at least once. When it does stay connected, the signal quality sucks. I don't have either o...

Not to mention the fact that Cingular store in my town is filled with morons who have been held over from Cellular One, then AT&T Wireless, and apparently still have no idea how phones actually work.

Guess they didn't get the "Tin Can/String" memo, eh? 🤣

Actually your missing the point. Could you share 600 minutes with another person or two & not go over & pay for it? Thats the point. At 600 minutes with two lines N&W & M2M you have 21 minutes each with three you have 10 1/2 Can you do it. As for the 1000 minutes, it sounds to me like tmobile is drowning & having to throw an attention grabber out there because I will promise you that they WILL loose mney at that rate. At the 600 minutes with three users, I can also promise disconnects & very upset customers...

It doesn't matter whether you or I could manage on a low minute shared plan, as long as SOMEBODY can. I have actually seen five users on a 400 minute plan who have a few minutes left over every single month for a year--I couldn't do it, but obviously they can, and you can't beat the per-line cost for that plan...

Wait a second... we were comparing who offers what at which price! I agree with you about people thinking they can get by with fewer minutes than they actually can. However, this has nothing to do with a straight up comparison of price plans. Secondly, how is T-Mobile drowning? They are adding subscribers faster than any other carrier when measured as a percentage of total customer base per quarter. They have ALWAYS been the value leader among wireless companies, and have managed to be profitable so far. The recent changes in their offerings are simply in response to the stepped-up competition between Verizon and Cingular. They did what they did to maintain their committment to offer their customers more for the money. You can't prom...

I understand everybody needs to make a living, and its good to talk up the company you work for, but I honestly don't see how any Cingular employee can claim their company is the best in any way.

And yet--they continue to do so with considerable vim, vigor and vehemence. Methinks the lady doth protest too much... 🙄

My point is that yes we have the same thing BUT we offer our line at $19.99 or $9.99. Meaning that when you tell a customer that they can do a family plan on 450, but it will cost 69.99. If they chose to up the minutes though, $10.00 more @ $79.99 & gain 1100 minutes. We don't give the lines away number one, & like I said before 69.99 for 1000 minutes & giveing lines aways @ no extra charge is an attention grabber. There are lines attached or t-mobile is scraping the barrell for revenue. I can promise you this. A plan/family plan at that rate will not be around long. T-mobile has to pay access & fcc fees on each line, they also have to buy the mobile number from the landline provider in their local area. That cost, pretty soon you will be lo...

They wouldn't sell a plan they are losing money for. The phone is the only major charge. If the towers aren't being maxed out, they can add more people for "free" because the towers are already there regardless of whether they are being used or not. They are a fixed cost.

Try getting your facts straight, fool. Like everyone has been telling you throughout this thread, the cost you post here is for the first line only. Add $9.99 to both of these plans for Cingular. T-Mobile has you beat fair and square. You have wrongly advertised. Kind of reminds me of the way Cingular pushes their plans. 🤣
