So I was talking to my Uncle on my A630 had TMo for like 3 months now with this phone. All of a sudden he starts saying, "Hello? Hello?" and then hangs up. I could hear him, but him not me. He has Sprint so who knows what happaned.

I try calling him back and get "Call Failed" displayed on the unit along with just a beep. I tried after a few more seconds. Same thing happened. So I try calling my work number, a landline... Same thing once more.

I then power cycle the phone... Try again, no good won't do anything other than display call failure. I then call my cell from my landline it rings on my end, but my cell does not, it then goes to my voicemail.

Hmmm, I think maybe it is the SIM. I ask my co worker if I could try my SIM in h...

Hmmm, I think maybe it is the SIM. I ask my co worker if I could try my SIM in her phone and vice versa. My SIM worked fine in her phone and hers worked in mine!

I call T-mobile she walks me through everything I just did and says it has to be the phone. She said I'd only had it a few months and the A630 is supposed to be a solid phone. So, she says she can mail me another and if I go to a T-Mobile store they will grant me a loaner phone.

You lost me on the SIM swapping part. Were you able to make calls with her SIM? As for the Tmobile rep telling you that she'd replace your phone as well as make sure you got a loaner...that's just great. Another reason it's such a delight to deal with Tmobi...

The loaner phone program at T-Mobile Corporate Stores allows customers to get a phone for up to two weeks. We do need to have a credit card on file and have the order number for the new phone to put everything in our systems. Most locations have phones you can get, but there are some that either have them all loaned out or that just don't have any at that moment, so it's best to call ahead just to make sure you're not wasting a trip. Hope this helps.

...Whoops, I meant to say her SIM did not work in my phone. So it lead us to believe it was the phone.

I took it to the store, they did not have loaner phones, but they gave me one it's an older Samsung someone had given them I guess after upgrade. They also gave me an extra battery for it, woot!

Yes, I do have the insurance in case it gets lost in transit or some other funky stuff happens.
