I need a suggestion

I called T-Mobile and upgraded to the Sony Ericsson TM506. It just arrived in the mail today and I'm really excited. The problem is, when I opened the package, the box had clearly been torn and opened. I checked and everything that's supposed to be in the box is indeed there. Phone, battery, headset, charger, and all paperwork. I'm just concerned since I've heard horror stories about fake batteries and flawed phones sold as new.

I'm wondering if I should immediately return it or try it out and see if anything is wrong. Does anybody know what I should do? Thanks.

First of all relax! Everything will be ok. TMO's got ya cover. You have a buyer's remorse period. 14 days in all states but CA. (30days in CA) I'd hook it up play with it make sure things are good. If it's not call in and customer service will instruct you how to get a replacement. EZ PZ. The Sony is a great phone you'll love it.
