G1 as a modem

Is there away to use the G1 as a modem? I did this on my BB Curve but have not found a way to do it on my G1.

At this point there is no way to officially use the G1 as a modem. If you root your phone there is away to use your phone as a wifi hotspot. Check out xda-developers.com for the steps. Its fairly easy.
